JOB DESCRIPTION

SUMMARY:Under the direct supervision of the Logistics Supervisor, the Warehouse Assistant/Driver accurately and efficiently devans and loads containers, receives, releases, stocks, picks, delivers, and distributes cargo to and from the warehouse to its designated destinations. Drives delivery van, box truck, flatbed, and/or other vehicles to transport goods to and from the warehouse to designated destinations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES(Otherduties maybe assigned)

• Reads invoices and packing slips; unloads, inspects, opens, sorts, checks, tags, and verifies cargoes from the container accurately and efficiently.
• Checks,inspects,tags, andloadscargointothecontaineraccuratelyandefficiently;Sorts,verifies, tags, and places cargoon racks, shelves, or in bins.
• Responsibleforpacking,labeling, and securing apalletofoutboundcargoes;Weighedandmeasured items before shipment.
• Conveyscargoestothedesignatedareaofthewarehouse;Markscargoesforstoragewithidentifyinginformation.
• Arrange the delivery of cargoes to the appropriate designation and verify and check cargoes released ordistributed.
• Assists in preparing to return damaged, defective, and obsolete shipments; places outbound shipments on pallets and conveys orders to the packing station.
• Usescomputertoenterrecords;Conductsweekly,monthly,quarterly&annualinventoryofcargoes in storage.
• Drivesvehicles to transport cargo to and from designated areas.
• Assistsinthecleanliness,security, andmaintenanceofthewarehouseandthemachineryandequipment; maintainsvehicle (inside and out)in a clean state and operating condition.
• Makes minor repairs or adjustments such as fixing punctures, checking fluid levels, and fueling; immediately reports any exceptions, complaints, or claims to the Logistics Supervisor.
• Ensurequality service is in line with the company’s policy.
• Perform other duties assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• Priorexperience with a general delivery company is preferred
• Knowledge of DOT and OSHA rules and regulations

CERTIFICATES, LICENSE, REGISTRATIONS:

• Must possess a valid Guam Driver’s License compliant with the REAL ID ACT with endorsements A and B from the Revenue and Taxation Motor Vehicle Division, and a Medical Examiner's Certificate to comply with US Department of Transportation (DOT) regulation 49CFR part 391.41-49.
• Must be able to obtain a Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) within thirty (30) days of employment.
• Must be able to obtain a DBIDS Credential within thirty (30) days of employment.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

• Abilitytoreadandinterpretdocumentssuchassafetyrules,operatingandmaintenanceinstructions,and procedure manuals
• Abilityto write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

• Abilityto add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
• AbilitytoperformtheseoperationsusingunitsofAmericanmoneyandweightmeasurement,volume,and distance.
