Job summary

Quikrete is seeking a Warehouse Assistant in Johns Creek, GA to oversee warehouse functions and ensure smooth shipping and receiving. The role requires handling warehouse procedures and adhering to safety policies.

Responsibilities include receiving shipments, labeling, inventory control, and using shipping software. 1st shift, Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM; forklift operation and safety are essential commitments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Warehouse experience preferred.
• Forklift certification preferred; training will be provided for the right candidate.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience using shipping/freight software to generate labels.
• Ability to safely operate a forklift to receive and store inventory.
• Ability to read and review packing slips, bills of lading, and shipping documentation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive inbound shipments and inspect products for damage before signing receiving documents.
• Communicate all deliveries to the supervisor and report damaged materials or defects.
• Label deliveries and store inventory in designated warehouse locations using a forklift.
• Generate shipping labels and bills of lading using shipping software.
• Read packing slips and shipping docs for accuracy.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with inventory control.
• Oversee stocking locations to keep racks, shelves, pallets, and areas clean and organized.
• Maintain a safe, clean shipping and receiving area.
• Follow safety policies while handling materials and operating equipment.
• Perform additional warehouse duties as needed.
