Job summary

The Toledo Zoo is seeking a part-time Warehouse Assistant to support our diverse operations in Toledo, OH. You will handle deliveries, stock merchandise, manage inventory, and prepare reports while helping maintain a clean, efficient warehouse environment.

You will interact with vendors, drivers, and team members, operating equipment like forklifts and pallet lifts. The role requires physical ability, lifting up to 45 pounds, and flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, and some holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years of age.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable by the fleet insurance carrier.
• Candidates must have the physical ability to lift 45 pounds, climb up and down ladders, and work on their feet for 8 hours a day.
• Ability to climb in and out of trucks in all climate types including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
• Experience with data entry, balancing invoices, and receiving merchandise.
• Work schedules may include weekdays, weekends, and some holidays.
• The Toledo Zoo is a drug-free workplace, including marijuana.

Salary Range: $15.00 To $15.00 Hourly

Warehouse Assistant

The Toledo Zoo & Aquarium is currently seeking a Warehouse Assistant. This role will consist of handling deliveries, inspecting and stocking merchandise, managing inventory and preparing reports and records. You’ll also help maintain a clean and efficient warehouse, and interact with vendors, drivers, and team members. Being able to operate a variety of equipment, including but not limited to, trucks, forklift, stock ladders, computer, pallet lift and more is key. Whether it’s running errands, assisting with special events, or contributing to daily logistics, your attention to detail and strong work ethic will make a big impact.

This position reports to the Warehouse Manager, is non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act and eligible for overtime pay for hours worked over forty (40) in a work week.

Minimum Training & Qualifications:
