Job summary

Health Aid of Ohio is seeking a Warehouse Assistant to uphold an orderly warehouse, tag and test equipment, and ensure accurate TIMS entries. You will verify items against driver tickets, document serial numbers, and perform minor repairs as needed.

The role includes inventory par level reviews, facility upkeep, and operating a lift truck/pallet jack with training provided. Strong English, High School diploma, and MS Office skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Verify that equipment leaving the warehouse is cleaned, tagged, operational, and entered into TIMS.
• Verify correct equipment on driver delivery tickets and load onto vehicle.
• Document serial numbers and tags on delivery/pickup paperwork.
• Clean equipment using MadaCide and SteriFab per specifications.
• Tag cleaned equipment with Health Aid tag and log into TIMS.
• Check equipment functionality; perform minor repairs as needed.
• Record parts pulled from stock and deplete inventory accordingly.
• Red-tag unavailable parts for repair and store in biomed area.
• Maintain Health Aid tag documentation (date, initials, rental and serial numbers).
• Review par level inventory every Monday; report items to Asset Manager.
• Dispose of garbage and cardboard; keep facility clean.
• Maintain adequate cleaning supplies and overall facility cleanliness.
• Operate a lift truck and pallet jack (training available).
• Attend additional assignments from Branch Manager; maintain regular attendance.
• Complete 10 hours of continuing education per renewal cycle.

Position Overview:

The Warehouse Assistant is responsible to maintain the warehouse in an orderly fashion, segregate equipment properly, ensure all equipment is accurately tagged, inventoried, bar coded, function tested and stored in good working order, maintaining cleanliness of all inventory items, and making sure that all equipment leaving the warehouse is in good working order. Also maintains the cleanliness of the Organization’s facility.

Responsibilities:

• Is responsible for verifying that all equipment leaving the warehouse has been cleaned, properly tagged, properly operational and is correctly entered into TIMS rental or purchase inventory.
• Verifies that on the driver’s delivery tickets all the correct equipment (if serialized, correct serial number) is pulled and loaded on the driver’s vehicle.
• Verifies that all equipment dropped off by drivers has a tag and all information and serial number (if serialized) is documented correctly on the delivery/pickup paperwork.
• Is responsible for the proper cleaning of equipment, using MadaCide and SteriFab per specifications or any other cleaning materials per manufacturer recommendations, which was dropped off by the driver in the dirty area of the warehouse.
• Is responsible for the tagging of cleaned equipment with the proper Health Aid tag, bar code, and label and making sure that it is correctly entered into the TIMS computer system.
• Is responsible to properly check the equipment to make sure that it is functional per each equipment checklist. If the equipment is not functional then minor repairs are to be completed. Each time parts are pulled from stock it is noted on the proper paperwork so that those parts may be depleted from inventory. If parts are not in stock to repair the equipment, it must be red tagged with the problem and stored in the biomed area for repair and research of parts.
• Is responsible for the documentation on the Health Aid tag which includes the date, initials of the cleaning person, rental number and serial number of the equipment.
• Is responsible for reviewing par level inventory every Monday and forward to the Asset Manager a list of items that need to be ordered. This list will include all purchased items from the inventory list and rental items as well.
• Is responsible for the disposal of all garbage and cardboard as necessary.
• Is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the facility common areas.
• Is responsible for maintaining an adequate supply of cleaning supplies.
• Ability to operate a lift truck and pallet jack preferred; training can be available.
• Is responsible for any additional assignments requested by the Branch Manager or any other manager of the organization.
• Regular attendance is a necessary and essential function of the job.
• Complete 10 hours of continuing education credits, relevant to this position, per renewal cycle, including up to 5 hours of in-house facility based In-Service continuing education and a minimum of 5 hours of approved peer review continuing education programs as directed by management.
