Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Warehouse and Inventory Leader in Houston to oversee daily warehousing activities, inventory control, and KPI-driven operations for Aero Alliance supply chains. This role ensures accuracy, efficiency, safety compliance, and strong internal customer service across inbound and outbound processes.

You will coordinate cross-functional activities, drive continuous improvement, and lead annual physical inventories, with emphasis on Lean and data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of inventory and supply chain experience, or a high school diploma/GED with 6+ years in warehousing.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management principles, Lean, and ERP systems (Oracle preferred).
  • Experience in cycle counting and physical inventories; proficiency with MS Excel and MS Word.

Job Description Summary

The Warehouse and Inventory Leader oversees daily warehousing and inventory control activities for OSS and C&I Parts at the Jport Warehouse. This position is responsible for coordinating daily warehouse operations across receiving, inventory control, storage, picking, put-away, and shipping activities.

This role ensures inventory accuracy, operational efficiency with safety standards, and company procedures. Warehouse and Inventory Leader will monitor productivity and key performance indicators (KPIs), investigates inventory discrepancies, and works closely with internal teams to support seamless inbound and outbound operations. This position is responsible for delivering world class customer service to internal customers at Aero Alliance as well as ensuring the highest possible standard of inventory accuracy.

This role provides strong on site leadership, governance, and performance oversight to ensure safety, inventory accuracy, material availability, and cost performance in support of Aero Alliance’s operational and customer commitments.

  • Lead daily warehouse activities including receiving, put-away, inventory management, picking, packing, and shipping.

  • Own inventory accuracy through cycle count governance, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
  • Train, coach, and support warehouse employees on operational procedures and best practices.
  • Lead Physical Inventory prework, planning, organization, counts and reconciliation across the plant once a year.
  • Ensure 99% accuracy and system integrity, meeting internal control, audit, and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure inventory is accurately processed and stored in designated warehouse locations.
  • Monitor order fulfillment processes to ensure accuracy, productivity, and quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with EHS and Quality standards, including safe material handling and storage.
  • Participate in safety walks, incident investigations, and corrective action follow-up.
  • Ensure warehouse processes support quality, preservation, damage prevention, and regulatory compliance.
  • Participate in and drive Lean and continuous improvement initiatives aligned with company objectives.
  • Leverage continuous improvement tools (Lean, Kaizen, problem solving).
  • Provide visibility to risks, constraints, and improvement opportunities to leadership.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of inventory and supply chain experience or a high school diploma/GED and at least 6 years of warehouse, manufacturing, or supply chain experience.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management principles, Lean, and ERP systems (Oracle preferred)
  • Experience supporting inventory control processes (cycle counting, physical inventories).
  • Experience in Shop Operations/Production Scheduling/Material Planning.
  • Strong computer skills / MS Excel and MS Word.
  • Ability to work Overtime on weekends (as needed) by the business to support warehouse.
Desired Characteristics
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results as an individual contributor and drive cross-functional alignment
  • Demonstrated Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience, improving inventory accuracy, reducing E&O, and enhancing material flow.
  • Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to use data to drive decisions Proven success in applying Lean Manufacturing principles and driving process improvements on the shop floor.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $91,700.00 and $152,700.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
