The Vail Valley Foundation (VVF) is seeking an experienced Warehouse & Operations Manager with attention to detail and a passion for the mission of the Vail Valley Foundation. The position plays a critical role within the Operations Department and supports other departments at the Vail Valley Foundation. The Warehouse & Operations Manager will oversee the warehouse by managing inventories, shipments, storage and event/program packing needs. This organized person should have the ability to fix, maintain and restore equipment, as needed. This position will be onsite for events and programs and work with various staff, contractors, vendors, and sponsors. This position reports directly to the Sr. Director, Operations.
RESPONSIBILTIES
- Oversee warehouse activities including facility maintenance, inventory control, space management, logistics, shipping/receiving andoverallequipment oversight.
- Inspect equipment, tools and VVF owned assets regularly and oversee general maintenance, cleaning andequipmentlife.
- Oversee and manage equipment and general logistics for programs and events.
- Assist with internal and external transportation needs and logistics across all events.
- Assist with vehicle maintenance for VVF owned and VVR rented vehicles, including heavy equipment.
- Assist the VVF Teams with the development of RFPs for equipment and facility contractors, vendors,and suppliers.
- Eventand programprocurementoverlaytosupport each Vail Valley Foundationevent,project,programand facilityincluding but not limited to:rental equipment and infrastructure,tents, power,utilities, fencing, flooring, lighting,FF&Eand F&B.
- Support the Operations Team in the creation and management of comprehensive event build-out, tear-down, and logistics schedules.
- Work onsite at events/programs as an operational crew member pre-event, during events, and post-event.Eventsinclude, but are not limited to GoPro Mountain Games, Birds of Prey, Vail DanceFestival, and others, as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience inwarehouse management and eventoperationslogistics.
- Proficiency with warehouse procedures and policies.
- Event Operationexperience.
- Proven organization, time–management, administrative and computer skills.
- Ability to work ina team environment.
- Ability to work closely, cooperatively, and professionally with internal and external associates.
- Self–initiative, attention to detail and a customer–centric philosophy.
- Capable of remaining focused and calm under stressful situations and able to quickly adapt to changing conditions.
- Previous experience working and excelling in a fast–paced, multi–level, project–based environmentwith emphasis on timelines, quality, and delivery.
- Excellent oral, written and communication skills.
- Teamapproach and willingness to assist others when called upon.
- Willingness to work in outdoor conditions with variable weather.
- Working knowledge of budgets, forecasts and profit and loss statements.
- Strong computer skills utilizing Microsoft Office programs and general knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud programs.
- Willingness to work irregular and long hours during events.
- Must be physically able to lift and carry up to50 lbs.
- Ability to operate heavymachinery.

BENEFITS & COMPENSATION
This is a salaried, full-time year-round position eligible for all VVF employment benefits.
Salary Range: $70,000-75,000
