Job summary

Remedy Staffing in Cedar Rapids is recruiting Warehouse Agents for a 3rd shift position within a logistics environment. You will load and unload materials, assist drivers, and use handheld equipment to move freight safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities include following manifests, staging freight, identifying OS&D, and ensuring accurate packaging, timeliness, and accuracy in a fast-paced setting. Candidate must lift 50+ lbs and work overtime/weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in a warehouse environment.
• Able to lift 50+ lbs.
• Able to work 3rd shift.
• Must read and follow work instructions.
• OT/weekend availability.
• OS&D awareness

Responsibilities

• Load and unload materials using a hand truck or reach truck.
• Pull routes, stage freight, and assist drivers to load and unload trucks.
• Material handling may include picking, packing, scanning, kitting, counting products and other duties.
• Ensure timeliness, packaging, and systems work is completed accurately.
• Identify and annotate overages, shortages, and damages (OS&D).
• Safely operate warehouse equipment, manual pallet jacks, dollys, etc.
• Read and follow detailed instructions in a fast-paced environment.
• Ensure safe and secure work environment including all TSA and OSHA guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Job Summary:

The Warehouse Agent is responsible for loading & unloading materials utilizing a hand truck, or reach truck.

Essential Functions:

• Utilizing manifest to pull route, stage freight, and assist drivers to load and unload trucks
• Material handling may include one or more of the following: picking, packing, scanning, kitting (as applicable), counting products and other like duties
• Must ensure timeliness, packaging, and systems work is completed accurately
• Identifying and annotating overages, shortages, and damages (OS&D)
• Safely operate warehouse equipment, manual pallet jacks, dollys, etc.
• Read and follow detailed and defined instructions in a fast-paced environment
• Ensure safe and secure work environment including all TSA and OSHA guidelines
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills:

• Must be able to use manual pallet jacks, dollys, and banding/shrink wrap material
• Experience using a RF scan gun required
• Must be able to work overtime as needed, occasional weekends
• Must be able to read and comprehend work instructions well
• Must have ability to work well with others
• Basic MS office and data entry skills preferred
• High attention to detail required
• Must be able to lift 50+lbs. unassisted

EXPERIENCE:
