Job summary

American Fuji Seal in Georgia is seeking a Warehouse Operator to report directly to the Warehouse Manager and support the Production Manager. You will safely operate forklifts, pick and ship orders, and maintain inventory in the shipping database while upholding OSHA safety standards.

In a fast-paced environment, you will train new staff, conduct safety inspections, and ensure efficient logistics across warehouse operations, contributing to overall business performance.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • At least 2+ years operating powered forklifts.
  • Knowledge of material-handling equipment and safety procedures.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and efficient logistics.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Operate forklift sit-down, side reach, and overhead crane to move materials.
  • Perform cycle counts as required.
  • Pick, wrap and stage orders to be shipped.
  • Safety inspection of forklifts and other material handling equipment.
  • Identify safety hazards and report them.
  • Load and unload trucks safely and maintain inventory daily.
  • Train new and current employees on forklift and warehouse operation.

Job description

General Responsibilities: Report directly to Warehouse Manager and indirectly to the Production Manager. The Warehouse Operator is responsible for organizing and rearranging items and materials neatly in respective places in the warehouse. Ensure compliance of safety procedures and practices. The prime responsibilities of this position are to provide support by picking, loading, shipping, unloading, and putting away warehouse products. Responsible for operating material handling equipment, optimizing travel, and loading for efficient logistics and supporting other warehouse functions to ensure optimal operation of the business.Essential Job Functions:Operate forklift - sit down, side reach truck, and overhead crane.Perform cycle counts as requiredPick, wrap and stage orders to be shippedSafety inspection of forklifts and other material handling equipment.Identify safety hazards in the workplace.Consolidate partial pallets for incoming goods.Load and unload trucks in a safe manner.Identify damage and missing material.Efficiently and safely operate a lift truckMaintain accurate inventory daily, weekly, and monthly and enter into shipping databaseMaintain clean, safe working environment at all timesTrain new and current employees on forklift and warehouse operationWork and communicate with interdepartmental personnel and management as necessary in a professional mannerAdhere to all plant and departmental rules, policies and proceduresOther duties as assignedCommunication: Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally with all levels of the organizationExecution: Ability to focus on goals, metrics, and results.
