ProMedica Monroe Physicians is seeking a Ward Clerk for Monroe Regional Hospital's Med Surg Unit. The part-time position involves preparing patient records, transcribing physician orders, organizing care services such as labs and X-rays, and answering phones.

You will respond to patient call lights, coordinate assistance, and help maintain patient charts and unit communications. The role supports admissions, transfers, and discharges with a focus on compassionate, accurate clerical work.

Formación

• Six weeks to three months of on-the-job training is required to learn the unit's routine, policies, and procedures.
• Experience with healthcare terminology and patient records is desirable.
• Strong customer service and phone etiquette are important in this role.

Responsabilidades

• Gathers, prepares, and checks file charts and documents for admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Answers patient call lights and relays messages to patients, physicians, and staff.
• Transcribes physician orders into computer and unit records accurately and promptly.
• Maintains orderly patient charts and schedules; assists with admitting and transferring patients.
• Provides a welcoming environment and directs visitors to appropriate information.
