Qualifications

• 4 required training modules: Basic Controls, Coupling & Uncoupling, Backing & Docking, Walk-Around Inspection
• Achieve minimum passing score of 95%
• Hands-on equipment training completed with authorized trainer
• Behavioral driving assessment after training
• Preferred: Experience operating shag trucks, yard trucks or similar equipment
• Preferred: Strong safety, sanitation and load-handling procedures knowledge

Responsibilities

• Operate overhead or mobile cranes safely and efficiently to unload materials prior to the start of each shift
• Work in various climate conditions (cold, heat, wind, rain, etc.)
• Lift up to 50 lbs. and use a dolly to raise and lower trailers as required
• Collaborate with other drivers and management to coordinate the daily processing schedule
• Remove rods, panels, and other materials from incoming loads
• Wash trailers and sanitize empty trailer beds following company safety and sanitation guidelines
• Assist crane operators throughout the shift with loading, unloading, and positioning materials
• Drive company trucks and safely back trailers into designated areas
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational efficiency
• Work actions and attendance to be weighed factors in this process
• Work independently and with others
• Good attendance

At Hormel Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base hiring pay range for this role is between $23.35 - $24.40 per/hour based on experience and training.
