WANTED - Full Time Groom - Northumberland

** Meldon Estate is looking for a full time groom ** We are a family yard based 5 miles west of Morpeth on a modern yard designed for horse welfare and ease of management. We are looking for a full time groom for our hunters and point to point /hunt chasers. You must be happy and confident to ride fit hunters and exercise the pointers when necessary. Excellent turnout skills are a must and previous experience in a similar role would be great. This is a rural position so a driving licence is essential and preferably and HGV licence would be a bonus (if necessary we would put you through the required test). You will be supported by and experienced and knowledgeable part time team but there will be times when you will be expected to work alone so you must be reliable and responsible. The position is a 5 day week including Saturday and it is imperative that you are flexible with timings and skills. The salary is circa £24,000 for a 37.5 hour week plus overtime and rate of pay will be directly linked to experience. A charming 2 bedroom cottage is included with the role.
