Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; trade school is a plus.
• 5+ years of commercial/industrial maintenance experience.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams and manuals.
• CMMS experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, fire protection and BAS.
• Perform preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance on assigned equipment.
• Complete work orders and maintain maintenance records/logs.
• Respond to service calls and emergencies, including some after-hours/on-call support.
• Support facility projects and coordinate with vendors onsite.
• Track spare parts and flag reorder needs.
• Follow safety protocols (LOTO, OSHA, confined space, fall protection).
• Mentor junior technicians and share best practices.

Job description

The Building Maintenance Technician is a full time union position and is responsible for performing advanced preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on building systems, mechanical equipment, electrical systems, and facility infrastructure to ensure safe, reliable, and uninterrupted facility operations. This position serves as the senior-level maintenance technician and is expected to work independently, troubleshoot complex equipment issues, and support maintaining operational excellence throughout the facility.

What you'll do

• Maintain and repair building systems: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, fire protection, and BAS
• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on assigned equipment
• Complete work orders and keep maintenance records/logs up to date
• Respond to service calls and emergencies, including some after-hours/on-call support
• Support facility projects (installs, upgrades, repairs) and coordinate with vendors onsite
• Track spare parts/supplies and flag reorder needs
• Follow safety protocols (LOTO, OSHA, confined space, fall protection)
• Mentor junior technicians and share best practices

What You Need

• High school diploma/GED (trade school a plus)
