Executive Home Care of Arkansas is hiring Companion Caregivers in Conway, AR to provide non-medical support and companionship in clients’ homes. Roles include full-time, part-time, and PRN with emphasis on social interaction and light household tasks.

You will help reduce loneliness, improve quality of life, and support clients in the community through friendly, attentive care and reliable visit documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Experience in companion roles or caring for an elderly loved one preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Compassionate and empathetic attitude.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work collaboratively and follow care plans.
• Documentation skills are a must.

Responsibilities

• Spend quality time with clients through conversations, reading aloud, games, or hobbies to reduce loneliness.
• Provide safe transportation and accompany clients to appointments or social events.
• Assist with light meal planning and preparation to ensure nutritious meals.
• Maintain a clean, comfortable living environment with light housekeeping.
• Gently remind clients to take medications as scheduled.
• Encourage engagement in activities and observe changes in well-being and report promptly.

• Provide cheerful company during mealtimes and assist with light meal planning and preparation to ensure clients have access to nutritious food.
• Help maintain a comfortable living environment with light housekeeping, tidying, and organizing.
• Gently remind clients to take medications according to their prescribed schedules.
• Encourage and participate in hobbies, puzzles, walks, or other activities that bring joy and engagement to our clients.
• Observe and report any notable changes in clients' demeanor, routines, or well-being to the care team promptly and accurately document your visits and observations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous experience in a companion role, volunteering, or simply caring for an elderly loved one is preferred.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred.
• A compassionate and empathetic attitude.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Work collaboratively within a team environment and follow care plan guidelines accordingly.
• Task completion and documentation skills a must.
