Position Summary

Effectively lead and manage crew members' daily activities and production according to the project timeline, plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards. Provide necessary training on safety and operational procedures. Work with or supervise other crafts at levels appropriate to training and skills as requested by project supervision.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties

  1. Plan, coordinate, and organize people, equipment, tools, and materials to promote safe, efficient, and timely construction.
  2. Ensure proper operation and maintenance of construction equipment.
  3. Maintain accurate records including job quantities, productivity, time sheets, and management reports.
  4. Assist in developing weekly schedules and activity sequences for the crew.
  5. Ensure timely completion of work within estimated costs, maintaining quality standards.
  6. Ensure safety of crew members and conduct operations according to safety rules.
  7. Develop crew attitude through toolbox meetings and communication of safety concerns, work scope, plans, and schedules.
  8. Monitor compliance with company policies among supervised employees.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent with relevant experience.
  • Thorough knowledge and skills to perform craft worker functions under supervision.
  • Ability to plan tasks safely and efficiently, including safety training.
  • Knowledge of scheduling, material control, performance metrics, estimating, and job cost systems.
  • Effective communication skills for instructions and supervision.
  • Good motivator, team player, and communicator.

Requirements

  • Ability to meet physical requirements.
  • Required tools.
  • Ability to climb and work at heights and in confined spaces (may exceed 200 ft).
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Work overtime, nights, and weekends as needed.
  • Valid driver’s license may be required.
  • Follow safety and project rules; perform other duties as assigned.
