  • Ability to accurately measure, cut, and pattern match wallcoverings.
  • Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and work orders.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare walls and surfaces for wallcovering installation, including cleaning, patching, sanding, and priming.
  • Measure, cut, and install vinyl, fabric, paper, textured, and specialty wallcoverings.
  • Match patterns and align seams to achieve a professional finished appearance.
  • Apply adhesives, primers, and specialty installation materials according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Install decorative borders, murals, and custom wallcovering systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, finish schedules, specifications, and work orders.
  • Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
  • Work from ladders, scaffolding, aerial lifts, and other elevated work platforms as required.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites.
  • Coordinate with painters, drywall finishers, glaziers, general contractors, and other trades to meet project schedules.
  • Inspect completed installations to ensure quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
  • Follow all OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and union work practices.

Requirements

  • Previous wallcovering installation experience preferred; apprenticeship or related construction experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of commercial wallcovering installation techniques and materials
  • Ability to accurately measure, cut, and pattern match wallcoverings
  • Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and construction documents
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work, including climbing, kneeling, bending, reaching, and standing for extended periods
  • Comfortable working from ladders, scaffolding, and aerial lifts
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required
