QXO is seeking a Wall Panel Framer to fabricate and assemble prefabricated wall panels and framing components in a manufacturing setting. The role requires reading production drawings, measuring accurately, and maintaining safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and assemble prefabricated wall panels and framing systems according to drawings and specs.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools and equipment safely to cut, shape, and assemble materials.
  • Verify dimensions and alignment against engineering drawings and project specs.
  • Support production flow by completing tasks on schedule and maintaining quality standards.
  • Identify quality concerns and communicate them to supervisors for corrective action.

What you'll do:

The Wall Panel Framer is responsible for fabricating and assembling prefabricated wall panels and structural building components in a manufacturing environment. This role ensures components are built accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with engineering drawings, project specifications, and company quality standards. The Wall Panel Framer contributes to safe, efficient manufacturing processes that support successful residential and commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate is motivated, detail-oriented, eager to learn, and possesses strong mechanical aptitude and wood framing skills.

Prefabrication & Assembly
  • Fabricate and assemble prefabricated wall panels, framing systems, and other structural building components according to production drawings, work orders, and project specifications
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and approved production equipment safely and efficiently to cut, shape, and assemble building materials
  • Measure and verify dimensions using tape measures, levels, and other measuring devices to ensure fabrication accuracy
  • Position, align, and fasten framing components while maintaining quality workmanship and production standards
  • Verify completed assemblies meet engineering drawings, customer specifications, and company quality expectations
  • Support efficient production flow by completing assigned work accurately and on schedule
Material Handling & Production Support
  • Retrieve, organize, and stage lumber, hardware, fasteners, and production materials for fabrication
  • Move and position building materials, framing components, and completed assemblies safely throughout the production facility
  • Handle lumber and prefabricated components using proper lifting techniques or approved material handling equipment
  • Inspect materials prior to fabrication and report damaged or defective products
  • Assist with operation of production equipment when trained and authorized
  • Maintain organized workstations and support material replenishment as needed
Quality Control
  • Perform quality inspections throughout the fabrication process to verify measurements, framing layout, and workmanship
  • Ensure finished products meet engineering drawings, project specifications, and company quality standards
  • Identify quality concerns, fabrication errors, or production issues and communicate them promptly to supervisors
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency
Equipment Operation & Maintenance
  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, saws, and other production equipment
  • Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance of assigned tools and equipment
  • Maintain equipment and work areas in clean, safe, and organized condition
  • Report equipment malfunctions, maintenance concerns, or unsafe operating conditions immediately
Safety & Team Collaboration
  • Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and PPE requirements
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production environment throughout the workday
  • Work collaboratively with production team members to meet daily production schedules and operational goals
  • Participate in required safety meetings, training, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
What you'll bring:

  • Previous experience assembling prefabricated wall panels or wood-framed building components is a plus, but not required
  • Experience operating hand tools, power tools, woodworking equipment, or production machinery, but not required
  • Wood framing or residential construction experience preferred, but not required
  • Ability to perform work primarily inside a covered manufacturing or production facility
  • Comfortability with frequent exposure to woodworking equipment, power tools, production machinery, dust, noise, and manufacturing environments
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, climb, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday
  • Ability to frequently lift, carry, and move building materials weighing 50 pounds or more using proper lifting techniques or mechanical assistance
  • Overtime or extended hours may be required based on production schedules and business needs
