Job summary

US LBM Holdings, LLC is seeking a working lead in wall component assembly to supervise a small team and drive efficient production on the shop floor.

You will lay out materials, assemble components, operate equipment, and ensure quality and safety while coordinating with line leaders to meet daily production goals.

This hands-on role requires strong teamwork, the ability to train associates, and flexibility for overtime as needed.

Qualifications

  • High School education or equivalent work experience required.
  • 4-6 years of industry experience / wall assembly required.
  • Must read a tape measure and use a hammer.
  • Available for overtime as needed.
  • Excellent teamwork and customer relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Lay out wall component supplies and materials on carts or floor.
  • Stock plates for component set-up.
  • Assemble components under the direction of the line leaders.
  • Load and band finished materials on carts/pallets inside and/or outside.
  • Receive incoming products, commodities, and materials.
  • Monitor production workflow process assisting other areas as needed.
  • Operate all equipment necessary to the assembly process.
  • Adhere to established safety rules and regulations; maintain a safe environment.

A Brief Overview

Directs the work of Assemblers who assemble wall components. This position is a working role but is also responsible for leading a team who oversees the assembly process in an efficient manner.

Pay Range: $22.00 - $23.00/hour

What you will do
  • Lay out wall component supplies and materials on carts or floor.
  • Stock plates for component set-up.
  • Assemble components under the direction of the line leaders.
  • Load and band finished materials on carts/pallets inside and/or outside.
  • Receive incoming products, commodities, and materials.
  • Maintain work area by keeping it neat and organized.
  • Assist in the set-up of component assembly process.
  • Monitor production workflow process assisting other areas as needed.
  • Operate all equipment necessary to the assembly process.
  • Adhere to established safety rules and regulations and follows all safety procedures; maintain a safe environment.
  • Assist in maintaining an organized work environment which may include emptying trash receptacles and keeping all bays/staging areas clean and organized.
  • Provide excellent customer service and participate in a positive work environment.
  • Monitor inventory as required by location management.
  • Retain an awareness of the work environment critical to the task at hand to produce error free and damage free results.
  • Serves in a working lead role overseeing fewer than 10 associates, directing daily work assignments and coordinating activities in advanced wall assembly to ensure quality standards and production schedules are met.

Education Qualifications
  • High School education or equivalent work experience required.
Experience Qualifications
  • 4-6 years of industry experience / wall assembly required.
Skills and Abilities
  • Must be able to read a tape measure and use a hammer.
  • Ability to learn to operate equipment such as routers, saws, presses, and staple guns.
  • Available for overtime as needed.
  • Excellent teamwork & customer relationships.
