Job description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Wholesale Produce Sales Representative to join our team. This role is focused on expanding our customer base, fostering lasting relationships, and delivering exceptional customer service within and beyond the Hunts Point Terminal Market. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, leveraging their expertise in sales and negotiation to grow accounts and drive profitability while maintaining the highest standards of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop new customer accounts and manage existing relationships to build a loyal client base.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring experiences exceed expectations.
  • Cultivate trusting, long-term relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Represent the company in direct negotiations to secure favorable agreements.
  • Oversee current inventory and anticipate future inventory needs.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of wholesale sales experience, with expertise in organic produce and or natural products preferred.
  • Strong pricing negotiation skills, balancing customer satisfaction with company profitability.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with customers and providing tailored recommendations.
  • Ability to excel in a competitive, fast-paced environment and work evening or night shifts as required.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and skilled in critical thinking and decision-making.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple transactions and customer interactions efficiently, especially under pressure.
  • A collaborative team player with a willingness to learn and adapt to new responsibilities.

Education and Experience:

  • 3+ years of wholesale sales experience, with expertise in organic produce and or natural products preferred.

This company operates from Sunday morning through Friday evening (24 hours/6 days per week). This position must be flexible to accommodate on all shifts. This will ensure the ability to foster relationships.
