Job summary

Quality Custom Distribution Services LLC (QCD), a subsidiary of GSF, is hiring CDL A drivers for local routes with overnight dispatch windows and a home daily schedule. You will handle touch freight including multi-temperature products and perform routine vehicle checks to ensure safety and accuracy.

Training pays $27.45/hour, with experienced drivers earning typically $95k–$130k annually depending on route and client.

Qualifications

• A valid Class A CDL and a current DOT medical card are required.
• At least 1 year of tractor-trailer driving; 8 months delivery experience preferred.
• Touch freight experience is required.
• Must be able to lift 5–75+ lbs and work in multi-temperature environments.
• Strong communication with dispatch and store teams is essential.

• WHEN: Tuesday, September 8th to Thursday September 10th. From 10:00am C.S.T. to 4:00pm C.S.T.

What You’ll Do

In This Role, You’ll

• Operate a diesel-powered tractor-trailer on local routes - no layovers
• Must be able to handle packaged Chicken, Beef, or Pork products.
• MUST be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as part of a 24/7 operation
• 100% touch freight
• Drivers average 10-15 stops per day
• OVERNIGHT DRIVING and dispatch times are between 7:00 p.m.and 10:00 p.m., depending on your route. HOME DAILY, NO LAYOVERS!!
• Schedule is four (4) days per week, with the possibility of a fifth (5th) day, 12-14 hours per day.

What You’ll Bring

• A valid Class A CDL and a current DOT medical card
• At least 1 year of tractor-trailer driving and 8 months of delivery experience preferred
• MUST have touch freight experience
• Ability to lift 5-75+ lbs., stay active throughout the shift, and work in multi-temperature environments (coolers/freezers)
• Strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and clear communication with dispatch, store teams, and fellow drivers
• Ability to complete vehicle inspections, maintain DOT logs, and meet all compliance requirements, including reading and speaking English as required by DOT regulations.

The Schedule & Setting

• OVERNIGHT DRIVING and dispatch times are between 7:00 p.m.and 10:00 p.m., depending on your route. HOME DAILY, NO LAYOVERS!!
• MUST be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as part of a 24/7 operation
• All trailers are equipped with lift gates - no ramps
• Touch freight - with repetitive lifting of 5-75 lbs.

Pay & Benefits

• Pay: During training, pay is $27.45/hr. After training, Drivers are paid under a component-based structure that varies by client and route, with average annual earnings typically ranging from $95k- $130k. Pay may be based on set route pay or on mileage and the number of cases delivered.
• Routes pay: $1,700-$2,200 weekly (including component pay), depending on the route.
• Additional pay: holiday, sick/personal is paid hourly
• Other Compensation: May include shift differentials, overtime pay, or other incentive pay as applicable to the position and location.
