Job summary

MMC Now Walk-In Clinic at Murfreesboro Medical Clinic seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) to deliver competent, evidence-based medical care in a fast-paced setting, interviewing, examining and treating patients from 6 months and up.

Candidates must graduate from an accredited NP/PA program and hold Tennessee licensure; responsibilities include ordering tests, prescribing treatments, documenting encounters, collaborating with nursing staff, and seeing 4–6 patients per hour; work includes

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited NP or PA program with licensure in Tennessee.
• Evidence-based medical care with patient interviews, exams and treatment.
• Experience in fast-paced walk-in clinic settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic illnesses for walk-in patients 6 months and older.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests such as labs and imaging.
• Prescribe medications and other treatments as appropriate.
• Document detailed patient encounters in EMR in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other providers to deliver quality care.
• Educate patients on conditions, treatment plans, medications and self-care.
• See up to 4–6 patients per hour.
• Other duties as assigned.
