Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas Urgent Care in Murfreesboro, TN, is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a PRN/part-time on-site role. You will diagnose, treat, and educate patients of all ages with acute and chronic conditions in a collaborative care setting.

Responsibilities include procedures such as laceration repairs, injections, pap tests, and X-ray oversight, with emphasis on patient satisfaction and safety.

Qualifications

• Active state license as an APRN or PA.
• Current FNP or PA-C board certification.
• Current DEA license or eligibility.
• Current DOT certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide convenient, friendly patient care to all who come through our door seeking health related services.
• Provide leadership and assistance during emergencies while maintaining a reassuring affect for patients.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with long and variable hours and changing locations.
• Perform medical assessments, treatment, management and follow up of clinic patients (primary care, urgent care, occupational health, DOT, workers compensation).
• Perform medical procedures (laceration repair, nail removal, pap tests, injections, splinting, drainage).
• Oversee on-site lab, x-rays, injections, and collections for direct access services where applicable.

Education

Active TN APRN or PA license
