Job summary

Shining Mountain Waldorf School in Boulder, Colorado seeks an experienced Early Childhood Lead Teacher for Buttercup Preschool and the Fairy Blossom parent-child program. You will develop a warm, play-based Waldorf curriculum and supervise an assistant, guiding children through stories, circles, handwork, and outdoor activities daily.

The ideal candidate holds a Waldorf Early Childhood Teacher Training Certificate, a Bachelor's degree, and Colorado ECE credentials, with prior ECE teaching

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Waldorf Early Childhood Teacher Training Certificate required.
• Early Childhood teaching experience required.
• Complete requirements for Colorado ECE regulations including CPR, First Aid, background checks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum to nurture and stimulate all domains of children’s development in their care.
• Provide parent education and hold parent evenings.
• Plan, communicate and document periodic parent/teacher conferences.
• Provide responsive care and adapt routines to the needs of each child and group.
• Supervise Early Childhood Assistant and maintain classroom communication.
• Coordinate weekly hikes and outdoor activities; prepare and conduct festivals and events.
