Position Summary:

This position is responsible for the sales and business development of Walchem’s industrial water treatment products including controllers, metering pumps, sensors, and accessories, across the Middle East and South Asia. This is a newly created position, reflecting Walchem’s strategic investment in regional growth. The RSM will work closely with the current RSM for EMEA + South Asia for a transitional period of 1–2 years, benefiting from mentorship, shared customer knowledge, and regional experience before transitioning to a direct report to the Director of Walchem Sales & Business Development.

The RSM will be responsible for building and expanding relationships with master distributors, developing regional sales strategies, delivering training, providing technical support and achieving growth targets in the assigned region.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Manage and grow existing sales through regional distribution partners and customers in the Middle East and India
  • Identify and recruit new distributors and OEMs to support regional growth initiatives
  • Deliver product and application training to distributors and customers
  • Support customer visits, site audits, and application reviews in collaboration with distributors
  • Develop and implement annual sales plans aligned with Walchem’s global commercial strategy
  • Travel regularly throughout the assigned territory to maintain strong local engagement (approximately 35–50% overnight travel)
  • Provide ongoing sales forecasting, CRM updates, and market feedback to internal stakeholders
  • Coordinate with internal resources (engineering, product management, operations) to support customer needs and regional opportunities
  • Represent Walchem at regional industry events, exhibitions, and conferences

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience in industrial B2B sales or technical sales in water treatment, fluid handling, or instrumentation
  • BS in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical field preferred; Business degree with strong technical aptitude will be considered
  • Experience working with distributors and OEMs in the Middle East and/or India
  • Strong understanding of cooling tower, boiler, wastewater, or process control applications
  • Culturally fluent with strong communication skills across diverse regional markets
  • Self-directed, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively across time zones
