About this Role:

The Integrated Systems of Care Division, Waiver Compliance Unit is seeking an analyst to perform the difficult and sensitive work to ensure program success. The analyst is responsible for conducting monitoring and oversight activities for two 1915(c) Waiver Programs: providing technical assistance to providers, developing, execution and follow-up of corrective action plans and conducting on-site, desk, and/or virtual audits. The incumbent must establish and maintain a working knowledge of the division’s programs and policies as well as be able to communicate clearly with program providers. Statewide overnight travel of up to 50% is required to various home and provider settings. The work performed is essential for the Californians we service, so join us to make a difference!


This position may be subject to the Department’s Conflict of Interest Code and may requireannual filing of a Statement of Economic Interests (Form 700) when assuming office, annually while in office, and upon leaving office.

Telework Information

This position is designated as a field-based position that regularly conducts in-person and site-based work with health care partners, providers, or others. This position is eligible to telework up to five days a week. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the Department and subject to change consistent with DHCS’ Telework Program and Government Code sections 14200 – 14203. Telework is available to California residents, and proof of residency may be required.

The DHCS office location for this position is: 1515 K Street, Sacramento, CA 95814. The selected candidate will be required to report to their assigned DHCS office and other DHCS locations as needed.

Business travel may be required, and reimbursement considers an employee’s designated office and residence subject to regulations and bargaining unit contract provisions. All commute expenses to the reporting location will be the responsibility of the selected candidate.
