Job summary

Baptist Community Services is hiring waitstaff at Park Central Retirement Community. In this role, you will assist with food orders, serve meals, and connect with residents on a personal level, making their daily lives more enjoyable.

The ideal candidate will have a food handler’s certificate and the ability to communicate effectively in English. This position requires attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness in dining areas.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food orders and serving staff and customers.
• Serve food selections according to requests and/or diet orders.
• Maintain clean and sanitized work areas.
• Keep all dining room tables free of used dishes.
• Clean refrigerators, label food, and log temperatures.
• Keep all bus carts and stations clean.
• Sweep and mop wait station area.
• Expedite food to perspective tables and seats.
• Keep line stocked with items as needed.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Under the direct supervision of the Waitstaff Crew leader and/or Supervisor, assists with food orders and serving staff and customers.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• EDUCATION/SKILLS: Must be able to read, speak and write English. Must have food handler’s certificate. Must be able to make simple math calculations.

ESSENTIALS OF JOB

• Takes orders accurately using current menu and POS equipment such as Full Count.
• Serves food selections according to requests and/or diet orders.
• Maintains clean and sanitized work areas.
• Keeps all dining room tables free of used dishes.
• Cleans refrigerators, label food, and log temperatures on a daily basis.
• Keeps all bus carts and stations clean as directed.
• Sweeps and mops wait station area at the end of every shift as directed.
• Expedites all food to perspective tables and seats as needed.
• Keeps line stocked with items as needed.
• Must be able to commit the time necessary from an attendance and punctuality standpoint to accomplish the above specified Essentials of Job.
