Sky Asian Fusion in Leander, Texas, is seeking a friendly and energetic Waitstaff / Food & Beverage Server for a part-time role at our dining venue.

Waitstaff / Food & Beverage Server at Sky Asian Fusion

Sky Asian Fusion is excited to announce an opening for a dedicated and energetic individual to join our team as a Waitstaff / Food & Beverage Server. Located in the heart of our vibrant community, our restaurant is known for its unique blend of Asian cuisines and an atmosphere that speaks of elegance and comfort. This role is crucial in enhancing our customer's dining experience and is ideal for someone with a passion for hospitality and service. This is a part‑time position that requires the candidate to be actively present at our location; it is not a remote job. We are looking for someone who can represent the core values and high standards of Sky Asian Fusion, ensuring that each guest leaves with a memorable experience from their visit.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet all guests with a warm, friendly welcome and provide them with a prompt and courteous service throughout their dining experience.
• Process cash, credit card, and mobile payments securely while keeping an organized cash drawer.
• Accurately enter dine-in, to‑go, and delivery orders into the restaurant's POS software.
• Assist guests in understanding the menu by answering questions regarding menu items, food allergies, and seasonal promotions.
• Double-check orders for accuracy and proper packaging before handing them over to guests.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization at the station and in guest areas to uphold the restaurant’s health and safety protocols.
• Coordinate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of food and beverages.
• Address and resolve guests’ concerns and queries swiftly and competently, ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Contribute to the team beyond basic responsibilities, helping others with their tasks during peak hours to maintain operational flow.
• Engage in closing duties including resetting tables, stocking service areas, and preparing the venue for the next business day.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Wait Staff, Food & Beverage Server, or a similar role in the hospitality industry.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; a degree from a culinary school or hospitality management program is a plus.
• Exceptional ability to organize and prioritize tasks in a high‑paced, high‑pressure environment.
• Extensive knowledge of cash register operations and point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of establishing positive and productive working relationships with others.
• Sufficient stamina and mobility to stand and walk for prolonged periods, and manage objects up to 30 pounds.
• Ability and willingness to work flexible schedules including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Commitment to maintaining high quality control and customer service standards.
• A keen eye for detail, especially in following through with the specifics of orders and restaurant health and safety regulations.
• Current food handler's card or certification according to local or state regulations in the food service area.
