Job description

Job Purpose:
The Tiffany Waitstaff Captain plays a key role in delivering an exceptional store experience by providing attentive and friendly service to clients. Responsibilities include overseeing junior staff, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring client satisfaction in a fast-paced luxury environment. This role upholds The Landmark's commitment to quality, hospitality, and professionalism, creating a welcoming atmosphere for all guests. Strong communication skills, teamwork, and a passion for customer service are essential.


Create and Coordinate Exceptional Client Experiences & Hospitality:

  1. Deliver exceptional attention to clients at the start of their Tiffany journey and ensure outstanding hospitality throughout their visit.
  2. Anticipate clients' needs by learning their preferences and partnering with client advisors to offer food and beverage choices accordingly.
  3. Prepare and serve petits fours, as well as hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks.
  4. Coordinate daily activities of the waitstaff team.
  5. Describe menu items to clients/guests, take orders, and provide service.
  6. Supervise hospitality areas and ensure their operational efficiency.
  7. Ensure the continuous readiness of hospitality spaces, equipment, and supplies to accommodate any unexpected requests.
  8. Assist in placing orders, receiving, and distributing necessary supplies.
  9. Support the team with various activities to facilitate seamless and elevated client experiences during appointments and day-to-day business.
  10. Perform all duties with discretion, professionalism, and a pleasant demeanor.

Optimize the Environment:

  1. Maintain the general upkeep and appearance of hospitality-related areas within the store.
  2. Coordinate hospitality supply inventory, including replenishment needs, order processing, and optimal storage organization.
  3. Communicate effectively and take initiative when cleaning is required before and after selling appointments.
  4. Maintain clean and organized hospitality areas.
  5. Clean and sanitize work areas, utensils, equipment, service, and seating areas, staying up to date on all safety and hygiene policies.
  6. Assist with special projects and events as needed.

Develop Industry Knowledge:

  1. Develop an understanding of the store and its products to convey Tiffany's heritage and values.
  2. Engage clients by storytelling and sharing key historical and brand-related information.
  3. Understand and comply with security and operational procedures.
  4. Stay current on industry news and local/global competition to support boutique business coordination.
  5. Share and collaborate on best practices.

  1. Uphold Tiffany's cultural values, projecting an approachable and professional image in appearance, manner, and demeanor.
  2. Contribute to a positive and productive environment, fostering a highly collaborative network.

Industry Experience:

  1. At least two years of experience as a waiter or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
  2. Previous experience in luxury retail or the service industry is a plus.

Technical Skills & Abilities:

  1. Strong computer skills and proficiency in technology.
  2. Additional language skills are a plus.

Personal Skills:

  1. Exceptional verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  2. Strong commitment to the highest client service standards and priorities.
  3. Ability to work retail store hours as necessary, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  4. Willingness to travel for special events and training as needed.
  5. Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  6. Ability to handle sensitive matters with efficiency and discretion.
  7. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  8. Detail-oriented and highly organized.
  9. Flexibility to perform different tasks based on day-to-day business needs.
  10. Experience in luxury hospitality industries, such as restaurants, hotels, retail, or security.
  11. Ability to work with VIP clients.
  12. Entrepreneurial mindset, flexibility, and independence.
  13. Strong commitment to fostering a team environment and collaboration.
  14. Sense of urgency and ability to prioritize effectively.
  15. Must have authorization to work in the United States or in the country where the position is based.

The hiring range for this position ranges from $33.66 - $45.54. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidates' relevant skills and experience.
