Job summary

Caesars Entertainment - Harrah’s and Caesars Republic Lake Tahoe are seeking an experienced waitstaff member to deliver prompt, courteous service at the resort dining venues. You will explain specials, describe menu items, and assist guests with orders in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have 2 years of waitstaff experience, strong English communication, wine knowledge, and a professional demeanor.

Qualifications

  • High School graduate preferred.
  • 2 years Waitperson experience preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Literacy and fluency in English.
  • Above average communication and interactive skills.
  • Good knowledge of wine and spirits.
  • Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business.
  • Must be able to interact with high profile guests while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Acts as a role model to other Team Members and always presents oneself as a credit to Caesars Entertainment and encourages others to do the same.

Responsibilities

  • Provide prompt, courteous food service to Harrah’s and Caesars Republic guests in accordance with established procedures.
  • Acknowledge customer immediately with a smile and serve at assigned station quickly, courteously and efficiently.
  • Inform guests of specials and have a full understanding of the menu to answer questions.
  • Know all ingredients in every dish and be able to describe every item on the menu.
  • Take beverage order and serve in a timely manner.
  • Assist customers in ordering from the menu and suggesting items.
  • Record ordered items on check according to established procedures.
  • Obtain food and beverage from prescribed locations and serve customers according to established procedures.
  • Ensure food and beverage orders are correct before serving to the guests.
  • Observe guests to fulfill requests and note when meals are finished.
  • Process checks through Infogenesis System and present check for payment.
  • Assist in cleaning and re-setting tables; escort guests to table in assigned section.
  • AssistBus persons and runners to ensure efficient service.
  • Complete assigned side work as directed.
  • Familiarize self with all items on printed and daily menus.
  • Use good salesmanship for suggestive selling of menu items, beverages, desserts, etc.
  • Process all open checks and ensure proper tendering.
  • Adhere to guest service skills in all interactions.
  • Deliver alcoholic beverages promptly from bar to table.

Job Summary

  • Assists Bus persons and runners in a cooperative manner to ensure efficient service to guests.
  • Completes assigned side work as directed.
  • Familiarizes self with all items on both printed and daily menus.
  • Uses good salesmanship for suggestive selling of menu items, beverages, desserts, etc.
  • Processes all open checks and ensures they are properly tendered and/or accounted for at end of shift.
  • Familiarizes self and adheres to the principles of guest service skills and use them in all interactions.
  • Delivers alcoholic beverages promptly from assigned bar to table.
What You Will Need

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to constantly lift up to 30 lbs
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 60 lbs
  • Ability push/pull bus carts weighing up to 90 lbs
  • Mobility to move quickly and easily throughout the restaurant and kitchen areas
  • Ability to grasp, finger dexterity, hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to hear and use visual inspection
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach and climb stairs
  • Positions that have contact with the public require the ability to work in a noisy
    environment, and may be exposed to guests who use tobacco products. Also, non-public contact positions may be required to enter public areas from time to time, in connection with their duties, and may be subject to the same environment.
