Responsibilities

• Delivers food and beverages from kitchen to guests
• Ensures timely delivery and proper storage of items
• Maintains knowledge of all menu offerings
• Sets up and breaks down event spaces efficiently
• Upsells and builds rapport with guests
• Maintains location appearance guidelines and professionalism
• Maintains equipment and follows safety practices
• Completes post-event inventories and restocks as needed
• Assists fellow team members as required
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Must be able to stand for long periods and be physically active

The Waiter/Waitress is responsible for delivering food and beverage items from the kitchen to the guests. In this position, the server should have an understanding of the content of the menu and ensures that food is delivered in a timely fashion. The server should understand and follow food safety and sanitation guidelines and help with the execution of area setup and breakdown.

Key Areas of Responsibilty:

• Ensures all food and beverage is properly delivered and/or stored.
• Knowledgeable on all menu offerings.
• Follows set up and break down processes efficiently.
• Understands all event paperwork and reports.
• Establishes rapport with guests and understands suggestive and upselling techniques.
• Adheres to location appearance guidelines.
• Acts with a sense of urgency and professionalism.
• Employs good safety and sanitation practices.
• Understands the importance of maintaining equipment and executes accordingly.
• Thoroughly completes all event set-up and breakdown responsibilities within timelines provided.
• Performs post event product inventory and restocks as needed.
• Helps fellow employees whenever necessary.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Stand for long periods of time and be able to actively engage physically with guests.
• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• React with physical and mental alertness in emergency situations.
• Demonstrate physical stamina and agility required to be mobile for long periods throughout the day.
• Lift/move materials and equipment up to 50 pounds.
• Move from sitting to standing position easily and quickly.
