Job Summary
WAITER/WAITRESS (ON CALL) – takes food and beverage orders and efficiently delivers items to dining room guests.
Responsibilities
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room; take food and beverages in an efficient manner, following established steps of service.
- Deliver food promptly and professionally; maintain safe food handling and sanitation standards.
- Follow up periodically to assist with any additional needs or requests.
- Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients; advise guests on appropriate combinations of food and drinks when requested; accommodate reasonable requests and notes preferences.
- Have knowledge of specialized diets and allergens as needed.
- Communicate directly with back‑of‑house staff to ensure orders are delivered correctly and special requests are accommodated.
- Exhibit exceptional communication skills and demonstrate ability to get along well with others.
- Collect tickets and follow proper cash‑handling procedures.
- Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests.
- Maintain sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information shared.
- Address complaints or issues promptly; relay relevant information or complaints directly to supervisor.
- Ensure that the dining room is properly set up prior to and after the service period; keep area clean and neat while meeting sanitation standards.
- Operate various equipment (fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, coffee machines).
- Work with staff of other departments to perform duties during special events and functions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of previous fine dining server experience.
- Ability to work on an on‑call schedule from Tuesday through Saturday, with hours that may vary.
- Ability to perform essential functions of the position with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Location and Schedule
Location: Porsche Experience Center – 19800 South Main Street, Carson, CA 90745.
On‑call schedule: Tuesday through Saturday; hours may vary. More details will be provided during the interview.
