Job Summary

Summary: Takes food and beverage orders and efficiently delivers items to dining room guests. Essential duties include:

1. Promptly and warmly greet guests; take food and beverages efficiently, following established steps of service.
2. Deliver food promptly and professionally; maintain safe food handling and sanitation standards; assist with additional needs or requests.
3. Understand menu items and ingredients; advise guests on food and drink pairings; accommodate reasonable requests; demonstrate knowledge of diets and allergens.
4. Communicate with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and special requests.
5. Exhibit excellent communication skills and maintain good relations with guests and staff; remain flexible and patient.
6. Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures.
7. Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests.
8. Maintain confidentiality regarding personal or medical information.
9. Address complaints or issues promptly; relay information to supervisor.
10. Ensure dining area is properly set up before and after service; keep area clean and meet sanitation standards.
11. Operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines.
12. Assist during special events and functions with other departments as needed.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.
