Job Responsibilities and Requirements

Responsible for providing prompt, pleasant, and efficient service to all community residents visiting dining rooms and activities. Remain aware of the physical appearance of dining rooms and waitress stations. Be watchful for situations that might pose a trip hazard for residents.

This server position is available in both full-time and part-time capacities. We are located in Wilmington, Delaware.

Key Responsibilities

1. Maintain and protect the confidentiality of resident information at all times.
2. Provide a pleasant dining experience for all community residents, following instructions to meet their specific dietary needs when necessary.
3. Ensure proper dining setup of the dining room(s), meeting or exceeding hospitality and service standards.
4. Obtain food and supplies for meal service as directed.
5. Distribute and store clean dishes.
6. Practice safe, sanitary food handling for food preparation, holding, and service.
7. Assist in food preparation as directed.
8. Maintain or exceed standards of appearance and cleanliness.
9. Maintain personal hygiene and health standards.
10. Perform cleaning duties in dining rooms, kitchens, serving areas, cafeterias, and storerooms as directed.
11. Mop floors in designated areas as instructed by the supervisor.
12. Practice and observe all safety and loss prevention procedures; adhere to universal precautions and infection control guidelines.
13. Perform other duties or assist other dining or wait staff as requested.
14. Work in a safe and alert manner.
15. Take ownership of safety for yourself and residents.
16. Disclose any medications that might impair your ability to perform your job safely or competently.
