Salary Range: $14.55 To $15.50 Annually

DEPARTMENT:Dining Room

EDUCATIONAL AND TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS:The individual that fills this positionmust have the desire to serve seniors in an efficient, patient, and friendly manner; at least one year of experience in food or customer service; and possess a valid Food Handler permit.

PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS:Must possess good physical health and have a desire to work withseniors. Needs to be a self-starter that requires minimal direct supervision. Shall be well organized, havehigh standards, and be able to provide a high-quality service to the residents.

AUTHORITY AND ACCOUNTABILITY:Under the direct authority of and accountable to the Dining Room Supervisor.

PROPER ATTIRE:The responsibility of the employee is to provide, and wear Company approved black pants, plain black belt, plain black socks and safe, closed toed, non-slip, plain black work shoes. Tennis shoes, sandals, moccasins, clogs or other non-safe footwear may not be worn. The Company shall provide a sufficient number of approved colored shirts and one approved name badge. Approved colored aprons shall be provided and worn. If approved, bow ties may be required to be worn during holidays and special events. A clean, neat and professional appearance shall be maintained at all times in accordance with the established dress code policy.

POSITION SUMMARY:There are both full-time and part time hourly positions available, with thepossibility of split shifts. Provide fast and efficient table service to residents and guests. Clean and re-settables. Performside work duties, including vacuuming, cleaning, and filling all necessary machines, wiping downcounters, organizing cabinets and linen closet, and cleaning wait station floor. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Follow the guidelines set forth in the positional orientation record. Complete jobassignments in allotted time. Required to lift up to 35lbs.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Read, understand, and abide by this position description, positional and general orientations, Statement of Service Standards, and corporate and facility policies andprocedures.
• Arrive at work on time prepared to accomplish positional established duties.
• Provide dining room table service to residents and guests, utilizing specificationsestablished in the Statement of Service Standards while ensuring that proper service is provided in the most efficient and friendly manner.
• Greet residents and guests, announce specials and soup of the day, take beverage orders,and meal orders. Deliver food, bus tables, and reset dining room.
• Maintain a clean and organized dining room, wait station, linen closet and related workareas at all times.
• Perform opening and closing, side work procedures, including make coffee, set-up dessertstation, set-up bus cart, pull salad bar items, fill and wipe down machines, wipe counters, sweep and vacuum floors and all other tasks as assigned.
• Properly complete all side work in time allotted and initial the side work sheets after thejob is completed.
• Maintain the kitchen equipment, such as coffee machines, toaster, and juice dispenser, andsoda fountains in a clean and proper manner.
• Attend all departmental, facility, and other meetings and in-services as required by thedepartmental supervisor.
• Meet all new residents within your scope of service and assist them in their move-in andorientation process.
• Support and assist with all facility marketing and community functions.
• Maintain a friendly and warm resident relationship within the "family" spirit of the facility.
• Complete all other appropriate duties as assigned.
• Understand and comply with facility's general and departmental safety rules and policies
• Thoroughly understand basic fire and safety rules and regulations and the employee's responsibility when responding to emergencies and fire drills.
• Comprehend and adhere to all OSHA rules and regulations.
• Understand and have a basic knowledge of the MSDS material.
