Job description

Waikiki Health is seeking a full-time Dental Sterilization Technician.
Pay rate for this role is $20.00 per hour.
Schedule: Monday – Friday; 40-hour work week

The Dental Sterilization Technician is responsible for maintaining proper sterilization procedures for all dental instruments and equipment. This role supports the dental team by ensuring a consistent supply and inventory of sterile instruments and trays.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Cleans and sterilize all dental instruments and equipment in a timely manner, using appropriate PPE at all times
  • Comply with and assist in the implementation of all safety, sterilization and infection control requirements, including OSHA
  • Ensures instruments are in good working condition
  • Notifies supervisor when instruments need repair or replacement
  • Assist with maintenance of dental equipment per manufacturers’ recommendations
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Graduate of an accredited Dental Assistant program preferred
  • Thorough understanding of OSHA with current training
  • Understands practices and techniques of a dental office setting
  • Basic computer skills to access electronic dental records
