Job summary

Ron Sunshine Associates LLC in San Diego is seeking an Associate Attorney with 3+ years of wage-and-hour litigation experience to join its labor and employment defense practice. The AM 100 firm handles sophisticated California disputes, including class, collective, and representative actions, with meaningful ownership of matters.

You will work with experienced practitioners and employer clients, handling depositions, motions, discovery, and strategy from early assessment to resolution.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of litigation experience in wage and hour matters.
• Active California Bar membership is required.
• Strong knowledge of California labor codes, PAGA and FLSA is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop litigation strategy from early assessment through resolution.
• Take and defend depositions and manage written discovery.
• Research, draft, and argue dispositive and class-related motions.
• Prepare pleadings, briefs, and other litigation documents.
• Evaluate strategy for PAGA representative actions.
• Analyze wage/hour issues including classification, meal/rest periods, and wage statements.
• Collaborate with clients and other attorneys in the practice.
