Job summary

Texas Instruments Incorporated in Utah is seeking a detail-oriented PDE Product Test Technician to join our LFAB team. You will perform visual and statistical inspection of wafer maps to identify defect patterns, ensuring only high-quality material proceeds to final testing and customers.

This role blends manual tasks with automation, requiring pattern recognition, troubleshooting, and collaboration with PDE engineers to improve processes and develop AI-driven automation for manufacturing

Qualifications

• Advanced Excel proficiency for data import, pivot tables, complex charts and data validation.
• Experience with data visualization tools (Spotfire, Tableau).
• SQL querying experience for data extraction and analysis.
• Exposure to automation/scripting logic (Python, Perl) or interest in AI for automation.
• Basic Linux skills: SSH, VNC, file navigation and command execution.

Responsibilities

• Visual Pattern Recognition & Quality Control: inspect wafer maps to identify defect signatures and compare with the Wafer Map Library.
• Technical Disposition (Inking): apply Inking protocols to exclude suspect dies from the next stage.
• Data-Driven Quality Support: monitor Statistical Bin Limits and Common Probe Outlier thresholds and escalate findings.
• Cross-Functional Communication: liaison between PDE and back-end Probe Sites, provide technical updates and troubleshooting.
• Process Documentation: maintain Wafer Map Library and prepare documentation for Qualification Lots, including yield reviews and hold reports.
• Continuous Improvement: investigate misses and look for automation opportunities to reduce repetitive tasks.
