Job summary

MSR-FSR, LLC in Santa Clara, CA is seeking a Wafer Care Technician Level 1. You will handle wafer transfers, FOUP processing, and AMHS system maintenance to ensure smooth wafer flow from fabrication to storage and delivery.

Responsibilities include maintaining FOUPs, updating tracking, and processing lab requests. The role requires attention to safety and adherence to procedures, with multiple shift options including a swing for additional compensation.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1-2 years mechanical or electrical experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand technical procedures and instructions.
  • Ability to effectively communicate information to supervisors and managers.

Responsibilities

  • Transfer wafers between FOSB and FOUP for lot start and finish.
  • Perform FOUP induction: wash FOUPs, create IDs, and label bar codes.
  • Maintain FOUPs and FOUP-related equipment in AMHS system.
  • Process requests on WFM and lab databases; manage packaging and materials.

Job description

JOB TITLE:

Wafer Care Technician Level 1

Responsibilities include

Lot start services: transfer wafer from FOSB to FOUP
Lot finish services: transfer wafer from FOUP to FOSB, vacuum seal for delivery
FOUP induction process: wash new FOUP, create FOUP ID and bar code label, associate this FOUP onto AMHS system
Maintain cleaning program for all FOUP currently on AMHS system
Process requests on TME DB from lab users: packaging (vacuum seal FOUP/FOSB/SWS/Cassette), materials request such as FOUP keys, clean FOSB, SWS (Single Wafer Shipper)
Maintain FOUP Overflow program: pull FOUP in/out, update tracking list
Maintain clean and re-use all empty FOSB/Cassette/SWS
Inspect, clean and re-use safety glasses
Collect and ship unwanted wafers to B21 for reclaim
Maintain and process all requests on WFM program
Other tasks assigned by management

Shifts Available:
  • Wafer Care Technician - Days M-F 7am to 3:30pm
  • Wafer Care Technician - Days Su-Th 7am to 3:30pm
  • Wafer Care Technician - Days Tu-Sa 7am to 3:30pm
  • Swings
  • Wafer Care Technician - Swing M-F 2pm to 10:30pm
  • Wafer Care Technician - Swing Su-Th 2pm to 10:30pm
  • Wafer Care Technician - Swing Tu-Sa 2pm to 10:30pm
  • NOTE- "Swing" Shift pays an additional 10% on top of your base salary

  • Additional remarks regarding work environment: Chemical hazards are primarily mitigated through engineering controls, but some uncontrolled chemicals from incidental spills requiring cleanup evaluation may require use of respirator and other PPE
  • You must be able to wear personal protective equipment, including protective eye wear, a hard hat, lab coat, gloves, steel-toed shoes, hearing protection, and respirators
  • Must be able to safely access and traverse indoor and outdoor obstacles for site inspections, including climbing ladders, walking on stairs, catwalks, and other types of uneven surfaces where activity inspections are needed
Requirements

High School Diploma or GED

1-2 years of Mechanical or Electrical experience is preferred or prevous experience in a production environment

Ability to read and understand technical procedures and instructions.

Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions from supervisors and managers.

Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
