Job summary

EY is seeking a WAF Operations Solution Engineer to implement and manage Web Application Firewall solutions, ensuring robust protection for client applications. You will monitor traffic, analyze security events, and respond to incidents while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance security posture.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of web application security operations experience, hands-on WAF with Cloudflare and Imperva, and familiarity with Terraform for IaC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in web application security operations, focusing on WAF management.
• Hands-on experience with WAF solutions such as Cloudflare and Imperva is required.
• Proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure automation is preferred.
• Strong understanding of web application protocols and security best practices.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and ticketing systems for incident management.

Responsibilities

• Configure, manage, and optimize WAF solutions to protect web applications.
• Provide ongoing operational coverage of web application firewalls to ensure performance and security.
• Monitor application traffic and security events to identify threats and vulnerabilities.
• Analyze security incidents and conduct root-cause analysis and remediation.
• Collaborate with incident response teams to investigate and respond to incidents.
• Develop and maintain WAF policies, rules, and documentation.
• Support security audits and assessments and ensure policy compliance.
• Stay current with emerging threats and security technologies.
