Job summary

EY is seeking a WAF Operations Solution Engineer to configure and maintain web application firewalls for client applications, ensuring optimal performance and security. You will monitor traffic, analyze events, and respond to incidents while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance security posture.

You will work within EY's cybersecurity team in a hybrid model, leveraging Cloudflare, Imperva, and Terraform to automate and improve security controls across diverse environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in web application security operations with focus on WAF management.
• Hands-on experience with WAF solutions such as Cloudflare and Imperva is required.
• Proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure automation preferred.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and incident management.

Responsibilities

• Configure, manage, and optimize WAF solutions to establish security controls for web apps.
• Provide ongoing operational coverage of web application firewalls.
• Monitor application traffic and security events to identify threats.
• Analyze security incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and remediation.
• Collaborate with incident response teams to investigate and respond to incidents.
• Develop and maintain WAF policies, rules, and documentation.
