Job summary

The Village of St. Edward in Wadsworth, OH is seeking a PRN Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct resident care, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.

You will supervise nursing assistants and participate in ongoing professional development, delivering compassionate Christ-centered care in a memory care/assisted living setting. Requirements include an active Ohio LPN license, current BLS, strong dexterity for injections/IVs, and ability to lift 35–50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Current Ohio LPN license and active status.
• Preferred experience in assisted living/memory care or long-term care.
• Current BLS certification.
• Dexterity for injections and IVs.
• Able to lift 35–50 pounds; over 50 with assistance.
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach.
• Walk/stand/sit intermittently; maintain infection control.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Supervise and direct nursing assistants.

• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
• PRN coverage as needed.

Summary Of Position

In accordance with the mission and values of The Village of St. Edward, the Charge Nurse- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) works independently to provide direct resident care including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation; supervises and directs care provided by nursing assistants; participates in continued professional development; performs other job-related duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

• Current Ohio LPN (licensed practical nurse)
• Preferred experience in assisted living/memory care setting or a long-term care setting Good physical and mental health.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support certification)
• Possesses the necessary dexterity to perform injections, IVS, etc.
• Able to lift, push and pull 35-50 pounds independently, and over 50 pounds with assistance.
• Possesses the ability to bend, stoop, and reach at different angles.
• Walks, stands, and sits intermittently during the day.
• Follow all Infection Control practices.
• Must have reliable transportation
