Virginia Department of Transportation seeks candidates to support veterans through the accommodation process and participate in on-the-job training events and work assignments to learn new skills for civilian employment.
Responsibilities include administrative tasks, attending meetings, and training across areas such as Planning, Finance, Project Management, Security, Procurement, Quality Control, and Information Systems, with emphasis on independence and teamwork.
As a veteran, work through the accommodation process and participate in on-the-job training events and work assignments in order to learn new skills to transition into civilian employment. Perform special duties as assigned.

VDOT utilizes a market based pay program, which has been approved by DHRM. Therefore, advertised rates of pay may or may not align with the Commonwealth pay bands.
