Position Summary

BGE, Inc. seeks an Engineer in Training (EIT) up to a Senior Project Engineer (PE) to support design and engineering efforts for Water/Wastewater Treatment Facilities. You may work out of our Central Texas offices in South Austin (Directors Blvd), North Austin (Louis Henna Blvd), or San Antonio (San Pedro Ave).

Responsibilities
  • Design water and wastewater treatment systems, including biological treatment, membrane treatment, pump stations, and piping.
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop engineering solutions that meet client needs and regulatory standards.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
  • Registered EIT or PE in Texas, or ability to obtain through reciprocity within 6 months.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in public works or municipal services projects.
  • Experience in design of water/wastewater treatment facilities, biological systems, membrane processes, pump stations, and piping.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency with CAD software; Civil 3D preferred.
  • Experience with water modeling software (e.g., WaterGEMS, InfoWater) is a plus.
  • Willingness to work from one of our Central Texas offices regularly.
