Job summary

RJW Logistics Group is hiring a warehouse forklift operator to move freight, load trucks, and keep the warehouse safe and organized. You will work with reach trucks and EPJs, perform daily inspections, and ensure accurate shipment records.

The role requires 3–6 months of forklift experience, a High School diploma or GED, and a reliable work history. Overtime may be required to support peak periods, with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED is required; warehousing certs are a plus.
Minimum 3–6 months forklift driving experience in a warehouse.
Good stable work record and reliable attendance.
Must read, write, and understand English.

Responsibilities

Operate forklifts safely to move freight inbound/outbound and load on trailers.
Load/unload RJW trucks and outside carrier equipment; maintain housekeeping.
Spot trailers, ensure proper staging, and accurate shipment documentation.
Perform daily forklift inspections and report any issues to supervision.
Work 10–12 hour shifts as needed; operate reach truck or stand‑up forklifts.
Maintain stock in racks and support cross‑docking as required.
Follow OSHA and RJW safety policies, including seatbelt use.

$21/HR

Starting pay is $18/HR you will receivequarterly$0.50 per hour step increasesduring your first year of employment bringing the pay rate to $20/HR by the end of your firstyear at RJW.

Job Purpose:

To operate forklifts safely and efficiently; handles all freight inbound or outbound properly and orderly; maintain warehouse area with orderly stacking and good housekeeping; loading / unloading of RJW truck / trailers and outside carriers safely and using proper procedures; ensures all shipments are correctly staged, checked, and loaded properly; responsible for properly storing stock in the warehouse; performs duties to provide material handling services for warehouse shipping and receiving handling activities. Works from warehouse operations sheets using a forklift to pick customer orders and load on trailers. Maintains forklift safety at all times following all safety policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assists Warehouse Manager to ensure efficient operation of the warehouse.
Ability to operate reach truck and /or Walkie Rider.
General understanding of computers and handheld RF equipment.
Loads and unloads RJW truck / trailers safely and efficiently using proper procedures, including outside carriers equipment.
Flexible to work 10 to 12 hours shifts when necessary and not afraid of heights.
Picking and moving stock from 1 lb. to 50 lbs. multiple times.
Ensures all shipments are correctly staged and loaded properly.
Maintains warehouse area with orderly stacking and good housekeeping.
Processing outbound cross-dock freight as necessary.
Oversees storing stock properly in the warehouse and moving product into the storage racks.
Works from warehouse operations sheets using a forklift to pick customer orders and load on trailers.
Records and verifies the accuracy of the shipments against the paperwork for incoming and outgoing shipments / deliveries.
Ensures all documentation and paperwork is properly completed.
Operates forklifts safely and efficiently following all OSHA regulations, RJW safety policies, and procedures.
- This includes wearing of seatbelts at all times when operating the forklift.
Completes daily forklift maintenance inspections.
Handles all customer products properly and orderly.
Checks deliveries for poor packing, general condition of materials, and free of damage. Alerts Warehouse Supervisor of any problems, taking pictures if necessary.
Reports all accidents / incidents, to employee, damage of stock, or building damage to the Shift Supervisor immediately.
Spotting of trailers to maintain efficient yard organization and flow of equipment for the day.
Maintains access to dock doors both inside and outside the facility keeping them free of debris or snow.
Other tasks as assigned by manager.

Additional Responsibilities:

Possesses a sense of urgency, accountability, and be able to work with limited supervision.
General understanding of computers and handheld RF equipment.
He/she must be able to read, write, and understand English.
Attention to detail and quality a must.
Good communication, clear and concise, problem resolution, and people skills.
Flexibility in working overtime when needed, and supplying coverage to other shifts.
PC skills helpful.
Major experience on reach truck or stand-up forklift/EPJs
Experience in building pallets with stock and breaking down stock to fill independent orders.
Experience in cross docking freight process.
Ability to work in a fast paced warehouse.
