Job summary

Nightwing Intelligence Solutions, LLC seeks a Vulnerability Researcher/Reverse Engineer to cover emulation, reverse engineering, vulnerability research, and CNO/CNE tool development across multiple operating systems. You will deliver real-world outputs with short turn-around times.

The role requires expert knowledge of C/C++ and strong abilities to analyze source code for vulnerabilities, along with experience in vulnerability research and tool development within small teams and customer-facing

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM and 5 years of related experience.
  • TS/SCI Clearance required.
  • Ability to analyze C/C++ source code for vulnerabilities.
  • Experience with vulnerability research, reverse engineering, and tool development.
  • Familiarity with low-level programming concepts and memory management.
  • Experience with assembly languages (x86/64, ARM, PPC, Mips).

Responsibilities

  • Emulate, reverse engineer, and perform vulnerability research to develop CNO/CNE tools for various OS targets.
  • Analyze source code to identify vulnerabilities and craft deliverables for real-world use.
  • Perform development, testing, maintenance, and modification of complex software applications in small teams.
  • Collaborate with customers to rapidly enhance capabilities and resolve issues in existing tools.

Our mission covers a wide range of targets, anything from major consumer electronics to proprietary one-off systems. In addition, the position will provide deliverables for real-world use in relatively short turn-around times.We seek a qualified engineer that has an expert level knowledge of C/C++code. This engineer will be relied upon to analyze source code for to find vulnerabilities. In addition, general vulnerability research, reverse engineering, development, testing, maintenance, and modification of complex classified and unclassified software applications.Projects will be undertaken in small teams with close coordination with customers to quickly enhance capabilities or resolve issues in existing tools for real-world applications.Required SkillTS/SCI Clearance requiredPractical knowledge of project executionAbility to make enhancements to and develop software toolsUnderstanding of low-level programming conceptsFamiliarity with stack frames, calling conventions, and memory managementUnderstanding of network protocols (TCP/IP stacks, routing protocols, or others)Experience with source management toolsExperience with assembly language (x86/64, ARM, PPC, Mips, etc.)Desired SkillsC/C++/PythonUtilizing full system emulation for research and analysisExperience Reverse engineering using IDA/Ghidra/BinaryNinjaUnderstanding of network protocols (TCP/IP stacks, wire-level protocols,RF communications, BGP, routing protocols, or others)Linux or other OS reversingClearance RequiredTS/SCI Clearance required.
