Position Summary

CVS Health is seeking a Security Vulnerability Management Engineer with knowledge on database management systems (DBMS) to join our dynamic team. This role is for an entry‑level Security Engineer, who will work closely with senior engineers in ensuring that the production environment is compliant to the CVS vulnerability management program with a focus on DBMS.

Required Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a security engineering role, with a focus on vulnerability management and remediation.
• 0-2 years understanding of common vulnerabilities and exposure (CVE) database, Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS), and related standards.
• Solid understanding of networking protocols, operating systems, and cloud platforms.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, MCSE, RHEL or similar certifications are a plus.
• Experience with DBMS such as Oracle, SQL, MongoDB, CassandraDB, etc.
• Experience with Jenkins, Ansible or other IAC tools preferred.
• Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or similar are a plus.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.

Pay Range

The Typical Pay Range For This Role Is $79,310.00 - $158,620.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full‑time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short‑term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
