A global organisation are seeking a skilled Vulnerability Management Engineer to support and strengthen the companies infrastructure security posture.

The ideal candidate will work closely with the Security Engineering and IT Operations teams to identify and remediate vulnerabilities across a Unix-based environment, including patch management, hardening configurations, and addressing security risks in applications such as Apache and IAM components.

This will be an initial 6-12 months+ contract with the opportunity for extensions.

The position can be worked 100% remotely in the US, reporting into the Minneapolis office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Security Engineering team to assess, prioritize, and remediate vulnerabilities across Linux/Unix environments.
• Perform patch management activities, ensuring timely application of security updates and compliance with security baselines.
• Identify and resolve security issues related to IAM components and system configurations.
• Mitigate Apache-related vulnerabilities, including Apache Zero Day threats, through configuration updates and patching.
• Conduct system hardening in accordance with industry best practices (e.g., CIS Benchmarks).
• Maintain detailed documentation of patching processes, configurations, and incident resolutions.
• Provide technical expertise during security audits and compliance reviews.
• Support automation of patching and security configuration tasks where applicable.
