Job summary

Abacus Technology is seeking an Information Assurance Specialist to provide vulnerability assessment and ACAS support for the Air Force Intranet Control III program at Maxwell AFB/Gunter Annex. This full-time role requires hands-on assessment, vulnerability management, and incident coordination.

The candidate will perform scans, analyze results, and communicate risks to stakeholders while ensuring compliance with DoD policy and local guidelines.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in cyber security or information assurance.
• HS diploma or GED.
• Security+ certification.
• US citizenship and current Secret clearance.
• Forescout certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform assessments of systems and networks to identify deviations from policies.
• Measure defense-in-depth effectiveness against vulnerabilities.
• Analyze, prioritize, and mitigate vulnerabilities to reduce risk.
• Create reports communicating problems and proposed solutions to government stakeholders.
• Manage hardware inventory to ensure only authorized devices have access and are monitored.
• Manage software inventory to ensure only authorized software is installed.
• Submit tickets for corrective actions to appropriate teams.
• Conduct/review/validate vulnerability scans and report findings.
• Collect data from IDS, firewalls, logs to analyze potential attacks.
• Validate investigations and analyses of cyber incidents and response actions.
• Support incident tracking and recovery activities and document artifacts.
