Job summary

Agile Defense, Inc. is seeking a Vulnerability Assessment Team Lead for CBP in Ashburn, VA. This role leads scanning, assessment, and remediation efforts across a large, mission-critical environment with a focus on real exploitability and impactful findings.

A CBP BI or DHS clearance accelerates start; a signing bonus is available for active clearance candidates. The ideal candidate has federal sector experience, can coordinate with engineering teams, and will drive remediation priorities to

Qualifications

• Led vulnerability assessment or penetration testing work that produced findings engineering teams acted on.
• Prioritized findings by real exploitability, not just scanner severity, with explanation.
• Worked in a federal or highly regulated environment and understood remediation timelines and risk acceptance.
• Led a team to fix something that had not caused a visible problem yet, with documented impact.
• Holds an active CBP BI, or a DHS component fitness determination, or DoD clearance; starts sooner when present.
• Certifications such as OSCP or GPEN are useful but not a substitute for real remediation.

Responsibilities

• Lead vulnerability assessment for the CBP program, manage scanning, assessment and prioritization, and drive remediation outcomes.
• Coordinate with network, cloud, and security engineering teams; provide context to threat hunting and incident response leads.
• Ensure remediation is implemented, not just reported; push for fixes and closure of findings.
• Maintain accurate risk view and ensure critical systems receive appropriate coverage and prioritization.
