Vermont State University Online seeks an adjunct instructor to teach a 3-credit Psychology course during the Spring 2027 semester between 1/19/2027-3/7/2027. The course will be taught 100% online using Canvas. VTSU Online uses Canvas and provides a generic course template for all courses. The instructor is responsible for adding outcomes, academic materials, discussion and assignment that support the course description. Additionally, VTSU Online instructors are obligated to adhere to the VTSU Online Standards that address instructor presence, student engagement, instructor expectations, and assessment of student work. Course # & Name: PSY-3250-SO01: Multicultural Psychology Credits: 3 Course description: This course studies the effect of culture, subculture and cultural trends on human behavior and human development, with emphasis on the impact of race, religion, gender and other cultural factors on psychological development. Faculty are responsible for designing their own course with the full support of an instructional designer and the structured VTSU Online Canvas Template. Instructors are expected to add weekly content including outcomes, readings, videos, discussions, and assessments in alignment with the course description, and follow and VTSU Online Standards of course design, readiness, instructor presence, engagement, assessment, and accessibility. The full course must be ready and published at least one week prior to the start of the semester.
Compensation is dependent upon online teaching experience (within and outside of the Vermont State Colleges System) and bargaining unit status; the starting range is between $1000-1250 per credit.
