Job summary

Acuren Inspection, Inc. is seeking a VT/UT Level II Technician in Louisiana to set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment, perform inspections, and interpret radiographs and other readouts for quality control.

You will report test results, follow safety regulations, and apply testing criteria to evaluate outcomes. The role may involve supervising others and performing additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Some college preferred.
• Certified Level II VT/UT; additional certifications are a plus.
• Technical background in NDT methods and procedures.
• Experience in reporting inspection results.

Position Summary

Acuren is currently recruiting for an VT/UT Level II Technician.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment
• Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection
• Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations
• Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results
• Interpret radiographs, cathode ray tube (CRT) or digital readouts, conductivity meters and visual indicators
• Organize and report test results
• Perform specialized inspections
• May instruct and supervise others
• Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Some college preferred
• Certified Level II VT/UT. Additional certifications are a plus
• Technical background in NDT methods and procedures
• Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections
• Knowledge of NDT equipment
• Experience in report writing
